There are also many sports grounds and other attractions. There are 18 large park zones in Tashkent. It’s amazing, it turns out that the capital city can be calm and cozy thanks to a lot of wonderful parks and rest places:

  • Romanov Palace

  • Khast Imom Complex
The Khast Imom complex is one of the best places to visit in Tashkent for Islamic architecture. It has been the religious center for Tashkent for centuries after the first imam of Tashkent was buried here.

City Life

Modern-day Termez (population 130,000) bears few traces of its colorful cosmopolitan history. However, set in attractive landscapes on the fringes of town are some ancient monuments and sites attesting to more glorious times. Present-day Termez has retained an edgy, Wild West border-town feel. A steady flow of contraband from Afghanistan crosses the Amu-Darya here on its way to Europe, as well as contraband alcohol headed into Afghanistan.

North of Termez, the baked landscape twists and contorts itself into a mesmerizing collage of canyons, cliffs, grottoes, buttes, mesas, peaks, and rubble, all rendered in the tawny, inimitable hues of the desert. This is Surkhandarya, Uzbekistan’s southernmost province. The region’s caves provided shelter for primitive humans some 50,000 years ago, and the area that would become known as the Surkhan Oasis in the Bronze Age continued for a millennium to function as an important prehistoric hub of human civilization.

Attractions Of Termez:

  • Kyrk-Kyz Fortress
  • Termez Archeological Museum
  • Architectural Ensemble Sultan Saodat
  • Fayaz-Tepe Buddhist Monastery
  • Jurmala Tower

A unique system has been created in Uzbekistan country to meet the demand for dormitories gradually, but rapidly. This, in turn, has made the issue of student housing even more urgent. It should be noted that under this system, first of all, by optimizing the living rooms in the existing dormitories and installing double beds, an additional 20,000 beds were created. In addition, 29 student dormitories for 11.4 thousand places were built and commissioned based on state budget funds, extra-budgetary funds of higher education institutions, and public-private partnerships and rents.

As a result, 32.1 thousand additional places were created last year, bringing the number of student dormitories in public higher education institutions to 257. This created an opportunity to accommodate 91.4 thousand students and covered 41% of the need for dormitories. However, there is still a need for additional housing for 131.6 thousand students.
