Poltava State Medical and Dental Academy
Poltava Ukrainian Medical and Dental Academy (UMDA) is one of the largest and best medical universities in Ukraine. Over 40,000 highly skilled doctors, well-known scientists, researchers, and health-service organizers from Ukraine, European countries, Asian countries, African countries, and American countries have graduated from UMDA. By studying at PMDA, students gain professional experience at 26 specialized bases-multifield medical and preventive organizations and research institutes, and 28 specially equipped clinical bases-leading city hospitals, under the supervision of experienced specialists. The Academy has two scientific research institutes – the Institute of Medical Family Problems and the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. Modern treatment methods such as kidney transplantation, open-heart surgeries with artificial blood circulation, extracorporal blood purification, and many others are applied by Poltava State Medical and Dental Academy graduates every day. More than 4,200 students from the USA, India, Russia, Germany, Poland, Greece, Israel, China, Malaysia, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Peru, Palestine, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Syria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Mauritius, Pakistan and many other countries study at PMDA.
Poltava State Medical and Dental Academy is recognized by the World Health Organization, I-MED School, Medical Council of India, Medical Council of Nepal, PMDC, USMLE European Universities Association, and a lot of other countries. The University was highly ranked by the Quality Assurance Survey (QAS review of all Ukraine universities). The UMDA has extensive and well-established links with employers, professional bodies, and research organizations. The Poltava State Medical and Dental Academy participated in both the “Modern Education in Ukraine” and “Education and Career” exhibitions, where they presented various achievements in the organization of educational processes, such as scientific and methodological innovations, modern information and telecommunications, multimedia learning systems, etc.

During the educational process, students of Poltava State Medical and Dental Academy are trained in basic medical specialties and provided with the knowledge needed for performing their future professional duties. They participate in the examination of patients, and emergency care, and work in X-ray rooms, and clinical and biochemical laboratories. AccommodationÂ
Poltava State Medical and Dental Academy offers its students accommodation separate accommodations for boys and girls within 15 minutes of the main study building. The Academy operates 4 Student Dormitories with a total area of 44,512 sq.m for the accommodation of more than 3,300 students. Students’ Dormitories are completely renovated and supplied with all needed furniture and facilities for comfortable living and studying. All dorm buildings have a convenient location near bus or train stations, therefore every student can use the public transport system and visit every place they want. The hostel is also surrounded by a variety of supermarkets, parks, banks, cafes, and restaurants, so it is not problematic to choose how to spend your free time.
The rooms are simple but comfortable, with a bed, a table, lamps, a small wardrobe, and a bookcase. Each room adjoins a separate toilet and shower shared by two people. Two rooms together form a small apartment with a separate entrance from the ground floor. Almost all rooms have been renovated and are equipped with televisions, refrigerators, and free Wi-Fi. Poltava State Medical and Dental Academy Student Dormitory features 24-hour access to security and emergency services, making it easy to get assistance when students need it. All campus residents have access to all University support services such as campus Security Services, Counseling Services, and Health Services.
