National Pirogov Memorial Medical University
National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya was founded in 1921. Since 1994, Vinnytsia Medical Institute has been certified and accredited by IV level of accreditation as a higher educational institution. In 2002, the university acquired national status. The University has 12 scientific schools, Postgraduate and Doctoral studies, 4 specialized scientific councils function, and 12 research laboratories that are certified by the Ukrainian government. VNMU published 5 professional scientific journals, which are indexed in international scientometric databases. VNMU maintains scientific relations and cooperates with medical faculties of educational institutions and foreign pharmaceutical companies of various foreign countries (in particular, the USA, Germany, France, Great Britain, Poland, etc.).
Medical work at the university is carried out in 41 clinical departments. The departments are located in 56 healthcare institutions of regional and urban subordination. One of the main clinical bases of the university is the Medical Center of the Air Forces of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the clinical sanatorium “Khmelnik.” The Ukrainian State Research Institute for the Rehabilitation of Disabled People became part of the university as an educational and scientific-medical complex of Vinnytsia National Medical University. The total bed capacity of VNMU clinical bases is over 10,500 beds. The total capacity of polyclinic bases is 6,560 visits per day. The staff of the Clinical Departments in 2022 consulted more than 21,000 patients, performed over 32,000 surgical interventions, and carried out more than 1,500 trips to the line of disaster medicine.

Accommodation
National Pirogov Memorial Medical University has 3 dormitories. The dormitory has about 547 rooms and a total housing capacity of 1570 places. Each floor of the dormitories has 2 living wings. The rooms are for 2-4 people, and a toilet and a shower are attached. Hostel rooms are provided with beds, mattresses, pillows, blankets, two-sided tables, one cupboard per room, and one table and chair per room. All rooms are centrally heated. The Internet is available in most rooms of the dormitory.
All the hostels for students are protected by the police. There are special rooms for students where they can socialize, have fun, and make new friends. All the rooms are provided with a bed, mattress, pillow, blanket, desk, chair, heater, and lighting, suitable for both: study and relaxation, as well as Internet access and telephone for students to get in touch with their close friends and relatives.
