    Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University is one of the leading medical universities with a long history and glorious traditions. In August 2020, according to the consolidated rating of the Information Resource “Osvita.ua”, Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University took 1st place in the TOP-10 of the best medical educational institutions in Ukraine. Today Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University unites 6 education faculties, a medical college, 77 study departments, 14 academic buildings, a Dental Medical Center, a training and production pharmacy, a Training Simulation Center, a botanical garden, a laboratory of industrial toxicology, a Research Institute of Epidemiology and Hygiene, Research Center for Testing Anti-Tumor Agents, a scientific library, 9 dormitories, a student food complex, 4 museums, and the Sports and Recreation camp. The university provides high-quality medical education for about 20,000 people annually, including more than 6,200 students, 1, 200 interns, and 11,600 cadets of the Faculty of Post Graduate Education.

    Clinical training of future medical specialists, interns, and students of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education is carried out at 50 clinical departments, located at 155 departments of clinical bases in 50 medical institutions of the city of Lviv, Lutsk, Rivne, and Truskavets. All clinical bases have the necessary number of highly qualified medical specialists, sufficient modern technologies, and the necessary premises and agreements with the higher educational institution, which confirms the forms of relationships, rights, duties, and responsibilities of each of the parties. The university has its own clinical base – the Dental Center in Lviv. LNMU has been implementing cooperation agreements in the field of medical sciences and education and taking part in academic mobility programs with Piast Szlensky Wroclaw Medical University (Poland), Karol Marcinkowski Poznan Medical University (Poland), Warsaw Medical University (Poland), Felix Skubiczewski Lublin Medical University (Poland), Gdansk Medical University (Poland), Jagiellonian University (Poland), Rzeszów University of Information Technology and Management (Poland), Maastricht University (Netherlands), National Cancer Institute National Institute of Health (USA), and Qatar University (Qatar).

    Accommodation 

    Danylo Halytski Lviv National Medical University Hostel is located near the main academic buildings. Students can be accommodated in 8 Hostel buildings and supplied with everything needed for the studying process (including internet clubs and reading rooms), everyday life (with canteens, cafes, sewing and footwear work-shops, the barber and the laundry open), and rest ( gyms available). Every student is provided with the necessary conditions for full-fledged living, study, cultural recreation, and sports activity. 

    There are laundry rooms with washing machines. One of the hostels is equipped with modern medical equipment. It should be noted that the student is provided with housing throughout the entire period of study. In addition, each hostel has its student councils, which help solve housing and household issues of nonresident students and organize cultural and sports events.
