​​Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy is a public medical school at the university level located in Iași, Romania. Named in honor of the scientist Grigore T. Popa, it is classified by the Ministry of Education as an advanced research and education university. Founded in 1879 as a faculty of medicine, the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy is one of Romania’s oldest educational institutions. In 1991, the institution was elevated to university status, taking on the name of the renowned figure from the Iasi School of Functional Anatomy, Grigore T. Popa. Currently, ​​Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy enrolled over 10,000 students from 75 countries.
