    The Medical University of Lodz is one of the high-ranked higher educational institutions, aiming to provide high-quality medical education in Europe process for students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing as well as other medicine-related disciplines. The University conducts research and scientific activity and offers a huge variety of postgraduate programs. The MUL is the largest public university and is pretty new. It was established in 2002, but despite its young age, the Medical University of Lodz has managed to prove its success in the preparation of professional doctors and workers in the health industry.

    Apart from traditional training, the University holds intensive research activity covering all the existing fields of contemporary medicine. The scientific process is carried out in three teaching hospitals and several departments within other hospitals, which the University personally owns. All these hospitals are open to the public. Annually, more than 55,000 patients visit the clinics and receive a professional level of diagnostic and treatment services.

    The Medical University of Lodz has a significantly prevailing amount of scientific publications among the other medical institutions in Poland. Major work has been done in the areas of molecular biology, oncology, genetics of homeostasis disorders, immunology, hypertension, and endocrinology.

    Currently, the University has 9 500 enrolled students, 770 of which have come from foreign countries. The academic staff consists of 1600 employees, including 180 professors, 180 associate professors, and around 850 Ph.D. academics. There are 3 faculties, offering a wide range of medical fields of study.

    All the international students of the Medical University of Lodz holding academic offers have the opportunity to apply for accommodation. The University has several student halls of residence and dormitories, located not far from the center of the city. The boys and girls live in separate zones. Each student gets free bedding items and 24-hour access to a fast Internet connection. The common kitchens, laundry rooms, libraries, and meeting rooms are fully furnished and equipped with modern appliances. All the essentials like hot and cold water or electricity are always available throughout the whole year. The security system is maintained with surveillance cameras and a warden, present at any time of the day or night.
