AGH University of Science and Technology
The AGH University of Science and Technology is a modern university aiming to promote research in the sphere of information technology and digital science. The university is divided into 16 faculties providing studying of engineering disciplines, exact sciences, Earth sciences, and social sciences, with an emphasis on current priorities of the economy and business. The university takes place in 10 Polish higher education institutions that have been given the title of a research university, so its students have an opportunity to participate in international scientific research and improve their professional skills.
On the base of AGH UST is a research center – the AGH UST Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology, and other didactic centers and departments. Students gain hands-on experience in carrying out pro-innovative initiatives related to advanced material technologies and nanotechnology. They are exposed to the operation and enhancement of contemporary scientific research infrastructure, specifically focusing on nondiagnostic and nanotechnologies. International students actively contribute to making state-of-the-art research infrastructure accessible to university staff and researchers from other academic institutions.
The AGH UST offers three levels of education: first-cycle, second-cycle, and third-cycle (doctoral schools), and more than 100 professional courses. The university educates more than 20,000 students and employs over 2,000 academic staff. University lecturers are high-qualified specialists, who help young people in obtaining knowledge of engineering and digital sciences. The University has concluded more than 280 general agreements on cooperation with higher education institutions around the world. The AGH UST has partners in more than 60 countries. To date, the highest number of agreements have been signed with universities in Ukraine, France, the People’s Republic of China, and the United States of America.
