Mykolas Romeris University is a public higher education institution situated in Vilnius, Lithuania, and stands as the country’s largest university specializing in social sciences. Boasting an enrollment of over 10,000 students and a faculty comprising 1,000 members, MRU provides a diverse array of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in fields encompassing Law, Public Administration, Public Security, Communication, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Established in 1992 under the name Lithuanian Law Academy, it was later renamed Mykolas Romeris University in 2004, in homage to Mykolas Romeris, a distinguished Lithuanian legal scholar and statesman celebrated as a pivotal figure in the development of Lithuanian constitutional law.

Mykolas Romeris University’s International Office is dedicated to bolstering the University’s global reach and competitiveness in higher education. It serves as a central hub for coordinating and nurturing partnerships with foreign universities, international organizations, diplomatic missions, and Lithuanian communities abroad. The office oversees the University’s participation in international academic exchange programs and collaborates with foreign governments and universities through bilateral agreements. It manages exchange initiatives, and offers non-academic support and migration guidance to incoming students and staff, ensuring their smooth integration into the Mykolas Romeris University’s community. 

Mykolas Romeris University’s collaborative teams of scientists, researchers, students, and various stakeholders drive research initiatives, fostering an ecosystem characterized by advanced knowledge, state-of-the-art technology, and strong partnerships across academia, industry, government, and society. The University’s LAB, the Social Innovations Laboratory network, spearheads international and national projects, conducts research commissioned by businesses and public entities, provides training, and offers consulting services to diverse societal groups. It welcomes MRU’s community and participants from other institutions, businesses, government bodies, and non-governmental organizations.

Mykolas Romeris University offers on-campus student housing located in the historic Vilnius Old Town, just a short 20-minute walk from the main campus. The Student Residence features cozy rooms, comprising single, double, and triple rooms. Each room is equipped with essential furnishings, including beds, comfortable mattresses, tables, armchairs, and either a wardrobe or a built-in closet. Rent fees cover all utility expenses, electricity, water, and heating, and also include daily cleaning services for common areas. The Student House provides a communal space equipped with a kitchen, microwave, TV, washing machine, and Wi-Fi for the convenience of its residents.
