EKA University of Applied Sciences, Riga (Ekonomikas un KultÅ«ras Augstskola) is a private university in Riga, Latvia. It was founded in 1998 and offers bachelor’s, master’s, and professional bachelor’s degrees in Business, Economics, Marketing, Information Technologies, and Creative Industries. In compliance with the Lisbon Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education, a diploma conferred by EKA holds recognition in all EU member states as well as worldwide. The academic faculty comprises instructors from both domestic and international backgrounds. 

EKA University of Applied Sciences offers international students an ideal environment to refine their concepts, develop business models and plans, create prototypes, learn essential sales strategies, and work towards making their ideas profitable. The EKA Business Incubator provides comprehensive support to aspiring entrepreneurs, including help with business plan creation, access to educational lectures and workshops for preparing for the business world, mentorship from experienced individuals, valuable networking opportunities, workspace for operations and meetings, and the ability to present ideas to knowledgeable industry representatives.

EKA University of Applied Sciences is located in a fully renovated for an enhanced study environment 1909 Russian Tsar Army barracks. The University features specialized, attractive auditoriums to make learning more engaging. For Law students lectures and seminars are held in the Training Courtroom to allow them to practice in a real-world setting. The University’s Logistics Auditorium provides powerful computers and software for “International Trade and Logistics” students to excel in their “Logistics Information Systems” coursework. The auditorium offers visual aids for hazardous goods, cargo containers, and geographic maps. The digLAB is a dedicated space for “Computer Game Design and Graphics” students to work on game development and testing. It features four workstations (two Mac and two Windows) for testing powerful gaming and virtual reality projects. It includes seven Android and iOS devices for mobile game development and Oculus Rift equipment for virtual reality projects.
