LiepÄja University is a publicly funded institution located in LiepÄja, Latvia. The university has a number of programs and initiatives to help students and graduates start their own businesses.
To represent student interests, Liepaja University has created a student-oriented organization called the Students Council. It appoints members to various university and external bodies. The council comprises 15 elected members and activists, including a board chairman, vice-chairman, secretary, and heads of nine departments. They engage in cultural, academic, social, and sports activities, including traditional events like freshmen initiation and parties, as well as unique initiatives such as “Dance with the Lecturer” and charity events. The hostel mainly serves international students, typically placing them in shared rooms designed for 2 to 3 occupants.
