Budapest Business School
Budapest Business School was established on January 1, 2000, by merging three popular business colleges – the College of International Management and Business, the College of Finance and Accountancy in Zugló, and the College of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism. In 2010 Budapest Business School was awarded the Higher Education Quality award and won the title of University of Applied Science. In 2017 was established the Budapest Lab Entrepreneurship Centre, was the first center of excellence of BBS, followed by 3 other centres of excellence – The Centre of Excellence in the Future of Higher Education Centre, the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Hospitality, the Centre of Excellence in Cyber Economy.
Budapest Business School has joined the international network of PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), as a member of which it is committed to responsible business education. At the same time, Budapest Business School institutionalized sustainability efforts, and the Sustainability Council and the Sustainability Network consisting of volunteers from the internal community were established. In December Budapest Business School successfully accredited the BBS Doctoral School of Entrepreneurship and Business, which fills a gap in that it pays special attention to research and education on business and management issues in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Budapest Business School has started the AACSB accreditation process, which is the best-known international accreditation system for business schools. The School`s Faculty of Finance and Accountancy was on top in the Hungarian University popularity list, and the other two faculties, the Faculty of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism, and the Faculty of International Management and Business, were also among the top-10 Business faculties in Hungary. Accommodation
Budapest Business School provide its international students with opportunity to chose between Belvarosi Apartment House, Korona Apartment House, and CEU Residence Center. Belvarosi Apartment House is a seven-story building with 2, 3, and 4-bedded rooms. Each floor is supplied with a common kitchen area, a washing machine, coffee machines, snack machines, and a dryer. The apartment house has its renovated and supplied with the most modern technologies Sports Complex with a swimming pool.
Korona Apartment House is a newly renovated 5-storey building with mainly 2-bedded rooms. Each room is equipped with 2 beds, 2 mattresses, 2 tables and 2 chairs, a shower, and toilet, a little kitchen area with a refrigerator and a microwave oven. The accommodation fees cover crucial services, including Wi-Fi access, utilities, housekeeping, and the use of laundry facilities. Every room is furnished with essential amenities, comprising beds, desks, chairs, and either air conditioning or centralized heating.
The CEU Residence Center is a hotel and conference center where a wide amount of Budapest Business School students can find a home during their university studies. The residence center is equipped with a swimming pool, sauna, gym, billiard, foosball, table tennis, renovated study rooms, common kitchens, and a TV lounge on every floor. Students can spend their free time on the sports field, outdoor tennis court with sports equipment available at the reception, and garden with relaxing furniture.
