5. How long does it take to get a student VISA?
You can apply for a Student visa up to 6 months before your program starts. The VISA approval process takes from 3 to 5 weeks.
6. Is it expensive to study abroad?

7. What scholarships or grants are available to study abroad?
Alfred Education Group doesn’t offer any scholarships or grants for international students.

No, every university abroad requires a tuition fee in order to offer the best studying options for international students.
9. What documents are required to get an admission letter?
To get an Admission letter from any Partner University of Alfred, we require the following documents:
- Copy of International passport or ID Card
- Filled Application Form
- Copy of High School Certificate
- Copy of Bachelor Degree Certificate (if the student applies for a Master’s degree)

10. How long does it take to get an admission letter?
As soon as you apply online we will send you the Admission Confirmation Letter through email in one working day. After receiving all the necessary documents and payment, we will send you the Invitation letter, Admission Confirmation letter, and Visa Support Letter by courier.
11. Are there any age limits to study abroad?
No, there are no age limits for becoming a student. No matter if you are 18 or 81, you are always welcome to become a part of the international student community. Keep in mind that some universities set the minimum age of 15 or 17, so if you are a minor, you will be asked to provide the contact information of the responsible adult, your parent, or trustee.
12. Can I rent a flat abroad if I don’t want to stay in the hostel?

13. Can I work full-time or part-time if I’m a student abroad?

14. Can I transfer my materials to another university and complete the program?
If you began your academic career at your hometown institution, earned some credits through completion of coursework, and now decided to transfer to a different institution to finish your education we will help you with that. The students from different countries can validate their academic transcript and if chosen university training program complies with your gained knowledge, marks, and experience, you will be able to become a part of the educational process in your new university.

4. How do I cover my tuition fee in Ukraine?
The student has to cover the complete first-year expenses prior to the beginning of the academic year. From the 2nd year, the payment may be conducted per semester.
5. Can I transfer money to and from Ukraine by the bank or online banking?
The banking system in Ukraine is considered to be the most comfortable and fast among other EU countries. All the student needs to do is to open a bank account at any bank in Ukraine and then the student may transfer or receive money anytime. Students can use their phones to operate online banking applications.
6. Are the university dormitories near to the campuses?
Some dorms are situated near to the university and some are a bit far but not too far. Usually, it takes 15-20 minutes by foot to get to the campuses. Students can use public transport too if the dorms are not so near to the university. The transport system in Ukraine is convenient, so the student will not face any issues on the way. In addition, many students arrange a public travel ticket that gives a discount on many means of transport.
7. Do I have to come back to my home country after I get my diploma or can I stay in Ukraine?
It is not obligatory for the student to leave the country after graduation. Of course, some students go back to their homelands. However, many remain in Ukraine and find good jobs with decent salaries. A certain percentage of alumni go to other countries for career purposes. It is totally up to the student’s decision.
8. Is higher education free in Ukraine?
There is no free studying or scholarships available for foreign students in Ukraine.
9. What is the duration of the academic program in Ukraine?
The duration of the Bachelor’s program is 4 years. The Master’s program takes 2 more years. Medical courses in Ukraine last from 4 to 8 years.
10. Do students have to pay for study materials (books, laboratory notebooks, etc.)?
All necessary materials are provided by the university and it is included in the Tuition fee. There are no extra expenses for international students.
11. What are the monthly living expenses in Ukraine for a foreign student?
Living as a student in Ukraine is far less expensive than in other European countries. The average monthly expenses for food are about 100-150 USD. You can live comfortably in Ukraine by spending about 500-800 USD per month (including renting an apartment, traveling, and food).
12. What is the Preparatory Course?
The Preparatory Course (PC) is a special educational program with a duration of 1 academic year. At the PC students study the Ukrainian language and the special disciplines required depending on the future specialty chosen (science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, etc). The student receives the Certificate of the Preparatory Course after its completion. After completion of PC, the student can join major programs in Ukrainian.

There are multiple types of private accommodations to choose from, the price of which depends on factors such as district, number of rooms, and facilities such as water, heating, gas, electricity, and the Internet. The annual rent for a private apartment in may be between $650 and $5550, depending on the facilities and features.
