University of Tuzla
The University of Tuzla was founded in 1958 as the first higher educational institution in Tuzla and the Mining and Technical School. It became a proper university in 1976, and today is one of the major institutions of higher learning in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In September 1999, the University of Tuzla entered a new phase of development when the Assembly of Tuzla Canton passed the Law on the University of Tuzla, which established the Public Institution University of Tuzla, which included 12 faculties, one Academy, and the Student Center in Tuzla. Currently, the University enrolled more than 11,000 international and local students.
The University of Tuzla teaching process provides opportunities for obtaining 40 Bachelor`s educational programs, 40 Master`s programs, and 15 Doctoral programs. The adoption of the Statute of the University of Tuzla on 21 October 2009 marked the establishment of the Center for Quality Assurance and Internal Evaluation. Quality assurance is a fundamental prerequisite for reform and improvement in the area of higher education, it strengthens the status of the University of Tuzla and builds the trust of the social and academic community in the institution. It is an inevitable step towards the integration of the University of Tuzla into the European academic community and the basis for reforms.

Accommodation
The University of Tuzla provides a comfortable and welcoming home for its students. The university boasts several dormitories, collectively providing accommodation for a substantial number of students. Currently, there are over 2,000 beds available in fully renovated and supplied rooms. They are equipped with common kitchens with all needed for the preparation of food equipment, separate bathrooms, clean and well-maintained sanitary WC facilities, sports halls, and basketball and tennis courts. The University of Tuzla dormitories are located within easy reach of campus Scientific Libraries. This proximity ensures that students have convenient access to valuable academic resources, allowing them to study and conduct research without having to travel far from the Dormitory.
