The University of Mostar is the largest public university located in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The university has 10 faculties and an Academy of Fine Arts, with 140 study programs, 46 specializations, and 70 study groups. It makes the University of Mostar one of the most diverse universities in the country. The University of Mostar has around 12,000 students, which makes it the third-largest university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through the years, the University of Mostar saw rapid growth in the number of students and became one of the most popular study destinations in the country. 

The University of Mostar has more than 35,000 Library units to serve the needs of academic, university, and scientific-research communities, bring information closer to all students, and provide each user with the highest quality library service to meet students’ information and communication needs. The University of Mostar fulfills the criteria for accreditation prescribed by the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of BiH (2015) and successfully passed re-accreditation by the Agency of Higher Education in the Republic of Croatia (2017)

Accommodation

The University of Mostar provides its students with renovated and modernized student hostels 10 minutes from the main study building. All the hostels have CCTV surveillance systems and fire alarm safety systems installed for the safety of foreigners. Students can choose 2-3 seater rooms that have study tables, chairs, beds, bed sheets, wardrobes, lamps, etc. 

The hostels have facilities of kitchens, laundry, sports hall, and reading hall within its premises on each floor. All residents of the Students Hostel have free access to the gym and recreation center with a tennis table and modern sports amenities. Hostel rooms are fully furnished with beds, mattresses, pillows, blankets, two side tables, one cupboard per room, and one table and chair per room. Hot water is available during designated hours. All rooms are centrally heated.
