University of Banja Luka
The University of Banja Luka is the leading higher education and scientific institution in the Republic of Srpska and the second-largest university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The university provides a high-quality educational process for over 15,000 students from all parts of the Republic of Srpska, but also from prominent European and Asian countries. Most faculties of the University of Banja Luka are placed on 2 University Campuses, situated near the banks of the Vrbas River, near the city center. The campuses include Student Dormitories with cafeterias, sports courts, student clubs, and the University Computer Centre. The University of Banja Luka has all the requisite space, from classrooms and halls to reading rooms and libraries, to laboratories and computer rooms.
The University of Banja Luka has around 16, 000 m2 of classroom area and around 10,000 m2 of laboratory area. The educational classes are conducted in 66 Bachelor study programs, 64 Master study programs (and two combined study programs), and 13 Doctoral study programs (and one combined study program). Most of the educational programs follow the three-cycle model of 4+1+3 (where 4 years – duration of Bachelor programs, 1 year – duration of Master Program, and 3 years – duration of Doctoral studies), while some faculties follow the 3+2+3 model as well (where 3 years – duration of Bachelor programs, 2 years – duration of Master Program, and 3 years – duration of Doctoral studies). All university classrooms are equipped with video projectors and computers for viewing digital content.
The University of Banja Luka has 20 computer rooms with non-stop access to broadband internet. The University’s libraries hold over 200,000 books and are subscribed to a large number of scientific magazines. Since 2007, the University of Banja Luka has functioned as an integrated university, with its faculties, the Academy of Arts, and the Institute of Genetic Resources as members. It is focused on integration into the European Research Area (ERA) and the adoption of good practices of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). It educates future leaders and competent experts, thus taking on special responsibility in the development of the Republic of Srpska.

Accommodation
The University of Banja Luka provides international students with comfortable and well-equipped dormitory accommodations. The university’s dormitory complex consists of 3 multiple modern Dormitory buildings, providing housing options for both local and international students. With a total of 1250 rooms, the dormitory can accommodate up more than 3,000 students, ensuring that a significant portion of our student body can enjoy the convenience and camaraderie of on-campus living.
The facilities within the dormitory are designed to support student’s academic and recreational needs. Common areas are equipped with spacious study lounges, high-speed internet access, and printing services, creating a conducive environment for focused study sessions. To promote social interaction and relaxation, our dormitory features common rooms with comfortable seating, where students can watch TV, play games, or simply unwind with friends. Students can also use the City Olympic swimming pool, and sports courts of the Student Centre, and spend their free time in the Student Club, where students engage in literary, musical, drama, and other free activities.
