Azerbaijan Medical University
Azerbaijan Medical University (ATU) was established in 1930 based on the Medical Faculty of Baku State University (BSU). The University has more than 8,000 students in 74 academic departments, with a Faculty of scientists, physicians, and over 1,000 members of academic staff. The Dental Clinic, Oncology Clinic, Educational-Therapeutic Clinic, and Educational-Surgical Clinic function within the Azerbaijan Medical University. AMU has prepared more than 63,000 fully qualified doctors and pharmacists both for the Azerbaijan Republic and many countries in the world.
Azerbaijan Medical University has an administrative building, 6 study buildings, a Scientific Research Center, a Student Canteen and Buffet, a Health Resort, a Publishing House, a Sports Complex with a swimming pool, a fundamental Library, and laboratories. Currently, more than 8,000 students are studying at the 7 faculties, such as General Medicine, Public Health, Dentistry, Pharmacological, Military Medicine, and Military Nursing. The university conducts an educational process for more than 1,000 foreign students from 21 countries.
The teaching staff of the University includes 3 Members of the Academy of Sciences (Academicians), 4 Associate Members of Sciences (Associated Academicians), 184 doctors of sciences (DM), 993 PhD-s, 18 honored scientific workers, 22 honored doctors, 5 honored high school workers. All of them take part in pedagogical and scientific activity at 74 academic departments of the Medical University. The educational process at the University is carried out in 3 languages (Azerbaijani, English, and Russian). Azerbaijan Medical University is a member of the Trans-European cooperation between the European Union, Central and Eastern European, and Eastern Asia countries on the TEMPUS program in the field of Higher Education.

Accommodation
Azerbaijan Medical University has over 300 renovated and equipped with modern furniture rooms. Student Hostel has 20 rooms equipped for disabled persons. The university has over 300 double bedrooms and 60 single bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There are 5 modern kitchens and 10 supplied with modern equipment classrooms intended for learning and socializing. The hostel has Sports Courts and a Sports Hall. The excellently equipped Sports Hall offers every international student and hostel member the possibility of quality recreation.
In addition to its living spaces, the dormitory boasts an array of modern facilities to enhance students’ overall well-being. Common areas are equipped with study lounges, high-speed Wi-Fi, and printing services, allowing students to focus on their academics in a conducive environment. For recreational purposes, a vibrant common room with a large TV, gaming consoles, and board games creates a space for students to unwind and bond with their peers.
