Admission process


The admission process consists of 5 easy steps that make it fast and comfortable to complete. The dedicated office team of Alfred Education Group always aims to provide the best services for international students, so if you have any questions or struggle with any problems, you can always stay in touch with us or contact us via e-mail or phone.

Now read the information attentively and do not hesitate to ask us for assistance if it is required: 


Step 1. Apply Online

If you have already chosen the University and faculty of your dream, the information about the tuition fees is clear for you, and you are willing to study in Ukraine —  you can easily apply online by filling in the form on our website. You can also send us the following documents by email. 

The documents you need to provide in order to get an Admission Confirmation letter: 
  • Filled Application Form
  • Copy of International Passport or ID Card (should be valid for at least 2 years)
  • Copy of  Higher Secondary School Certificate (marks included)


As soon as you are accepted, we will send you the Admission Confirmation Letter in one working day.


Step 2. Get an Invitation Letter

To get the Invitation Letter from the Ukrainian University they will be provided with a pre-acceptance letter with instructions for the student to pay the admission fee. Applicant’s documents are submitted to the Ministry of Education of Ukraine so we could issue a letter of information and an Invoice for payment of first-year tuition fees. First-year students must pay tuition fees at once in order to obtain an Invitation Letter. After the student covers the tuition fee fully, we issue an invitation letter.

You will have to send the following documents to the Alfred Educational Group Office as soon as you receive the Admission Confirmation letter from the university of your choice. Mention that all the documents should be possible to read and understand, scan them properly and check twice before sending. 


  • The receipt that confirms a charge of the Invitation Letter
  • Copy of International Passport (should be valid for at least 2 years)
  • Copy of School Certificate (marks included)



Available payment methods: Bank transfer, Western Union, Money Gram.

Invitations are issued by the Federal Migration Service. It takes 7-10 working days to get a confirmation in Ukraine. 


Step 3. Obtain a VISA

After getting an Invitation Letter you will have to contact the Ukrainian Embassy in your country. To get your VISA approved you will have to prepare the following documents: 


  • The original passport or ID card
  • Secondary School Certificate
  • General Health-Medical Certificate
  • Aids/HIV test
  • 2 Passport size photos (the information may vary for different countries)
  • Letter of enrollment in the authorized education institution in Ukraine
  • Proof of financial means 
  • Bank statements from the past 6 months
  • Proof of sponsorship
  • Proof of paying the tuition fee
  • Proof of previous academic qualifications 



For international students from Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, Southern Ossetia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Armenia, and Uzbekistan a VISA is not required.


Step 4. Arrive in Ukraine

The International Office of your University informs the Migration Service of Ukraine with the official letter about your arrival at the airport. When passing the passport control at the airport the Border Service verifies if the official representative mentioned in your official letter is meeting you. 

When passing the border control — you will be asked several questions and you should explain which university you are going to, which faculty you’ve entered, and who is picking you up at the airport. Make sure you have enough money to pay the Admission fees and cover other expenses. 

Mention that if an international student doesn’t inform us about their arrival in advance — they will be deported back to their country!  


Step 5. Complete the Admission Process and Start the Classes 

After arriving in Kyiv or any other Ukrainian city, you should provide us with all the documents and receipts you have to complete the admission process. The staff of the International Relations Office of the University will complete the admission process and registration process in 1-3 working days and you can start your classes immediately. Ukrainian Education awaits!  


Requirements For Undergraduate Programs



To study Medicine, Pediatrics, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, or any other subject available at the University we expect our students to study the specific subjects at School or College before:


  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics


The School Certificate must contain the marks obtained for the subjects. If the students did not choose the medical disciplines or did not study them at school at all, they must go through the Premedical Department of our University to study Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The Preparatory Department will also help to study a new language (Ukrainian or Russian) to adapt to the new environment easier. 



Ukrainian Universities do not require any specific marks or grades, you need only Grade 12 Completion or Higher Secondary School Passing certificate. If you only have gained Grade 10 you will also have to go through the Preparatory Medical Department. If you apply for courses taught in the Russian or Ukrainian language, you will have to take the language Preparatory Courses. There is also no need to provide an IELTS, TOEFL, or any other English Test certificate. 


Requirements For Postgraduate / Clinical Residency Programs



To obtain the Ph.D. / Doctorate Degree you have to provide Us with: 

  • MBBS / MD / BDS Degree 
  • Certificate of Completion of the Internship 
  • Certificate of Completion the Clinical  Residency (for Ph.D. students\ If available) )
  • Postgraduate Medical Education Certificate 


There are no specific requirements for your previously obtained Higher Educational Degree, Internship, Clinical Residency, or Postgraduate Education. No matter how many years your undergraduate program lasted or what hospital your Internship took place at. Only certificates are required to apply and start the admission process.  


Requirements For Non-Medical Masters And Ph.D. Programs: 

To obtain the Masters in Public Health, MBA, M.Phil, Ph.D., and other Masters programs in Ukraine you will have to provide us with Bachelor or Master’s diploma with transcripts. 


It is not necessary to enter the same faculty and specialty that you have obtained before. You can choose any University and program of study and consult with our representative in order to find the right option for you.


If you began your academic career at your hometown institution, earned some credits through completion of coursework, and decided to transfer to Ukrainian University to finish your education – we will help you with that!  Ukrainian Universities accept competent and eligible transfer students from around the globe. The students from the different countries can validate their academic transcript and if the Ukrainian University training program complies with your gained knowledge, marks, and experience, you will be able to become a part of the University of your choice. 

Students applying for the transfer program must provide the following documents:

  • The Official academic transcripts of previously attended colleges and universities
  • The School Certificate
  • The International Passport (traveling document) 
  • The complete application form


All the documents should be translated into English. These documents will be applied to the Ministry of Education of Ukraine for certification to calculate the difference in academic requirements and the credits. If the Ministry of Education considers your qualification equal to the Ukrainian educational standards, you will receive the Approval Certificate to start the classes.



The admission of students is based on their academic results and credits. The requirements of the Universities’ courses are different, that is why you need to consult on this question with the University International Office. The Universities accept foreign students throughout the academic year, so you can apply to the program any time you want, and we will start the admission process as soon as possible.

Ukraine has one of the simpler visa processes when it comes to international studying. You need to contact the nearest Ukrainian embassy or consulate in your country or the nearest country around. You need to apply for Ukraine Study VISA.



 You’ll need to visit the embassy or consulate in person or fill in the form online. As soon as you are accepted into a Ukrainian educational institution you  need to apply for the Ukrainian Student Visa with the following documents: 


  • Visa application form, printed and signed; 
  • Original Passport (1 year valid);
  • Original Secondary School Certificate (attested by Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs);
  • Original invitation letter; 
  • Medical insurance certificate;
  • 4 passport size photos (35x45mm);
  • Bank statement certificate; 
  • HIV/AIDS Results Certificate 
  • Certificate of Completed Higher and/or Secondary Education 



Please note that you need to prepare your VISA documents ONLY AFTER getting an invitation letter from Alfred education group. This letter will help you to get a visa faster! The VISA full process takes about 10 days.

Pre-departure briefings are events run by Alfred Education Group in the home countries of our students worldwide, for anyone planning to study in Ukraine. They are usually held for several hours and include talks and workshops that give our students the advice they need to start their international studies with confidence. 


After obtaining the Student Visa you are free to look for flight tickets! We inform you about the most affordable tickets to Ukraine, provide you with information about the best flights and flight providers, and help book the appropriate flight. You should provide Our representative with all information about arrival details: the flight number, date, time, and port of arrival at least a week before your arrival as soon as you buy tickets. The representative of Alfred Education Group will meet you at the airport upon arrival.




Be sure to contact Alfred education group in time, otherwise, without our representative at the airport, you will be deported back to your country according to the rules and regulations of the immigration authorities of Ukraine. The representative of Alfred education group informs our Central Office about the details of students’ arrival before the flight to Ukraine. Predeparture Briefings are a very important part of your successful and easy arrival so please do not ignore this opportunity! 



We advise you to arrive in the city where your university is located so you will get to the city faster. If it is impossible, come to the capital of Ukraine — Kyiv. We will meet you there and help you to buy a train ticket to the proper city. Always stay in touch with us so we could react quickly and in time! 


After you arrive in Ukraine, you have to show complete documents and the Payment Check of Complete First Year Fee as it is mentioned in the Admission Confirmation Letter to the Department of International Relations. 


Students have to pay Complete First Year Fee before arrival to avoid any problems with the Migration Clearance of Ukraine. You need to provide us with your flight information a week before the flight in order to not be reported back to your home country. Do not cross the border control without the representative! 


Upon arrival, students must also have enough cash money in USD/ EURO to cover the living expenses! 


Make sure you have cash money in USD/ EURO for the moment of arrival to Ukraine. It’s impossible or very hard to change your national currency or even use your local credit cards here in Ukraine. 




Please, INFORM students to keep ALL their documents and money in hand luggage on a board in order not to lose them as it sometimes happens. Students should bring all the original documents which you sent us by E-mail and the Payment Check of the Complete First Year Fee.
